About us

Catholic Media Releases is a service of the New Zealand Catholic Bishops Conference. Its prime responsibility is to inform people in New Zealand, and beyond, about the Church’s messages and their application to individuals and society.

Catholic teaching on bioethics, international relations, spirituality, social policy, justice and development is grounded in respect for the dignity of every human being and a commitment to the common good.

Catholic Media Releases provides insight to Church teaching on these issues and also to the pastoral work and activities of Catholics in New Zealand.
